Just Cause events is a volunteer-run venture started by two friends, Sam Feldman and Ariella Levkovich. Just Cause Events’ premise is simple, as we set out to combine the following ingredients: 1) Causes you care about supporting, 2) People you’ll actually want to meet, and 3) Events venues that are really fun and you just don't want to miss!
Ariella and Sam have a strong track record of creating sold-out events for Jewish Young Professionals, from their debut event “Cruise for a Cause”, and their latest Chanukah event “Light Up The Night”, both raising thousands of dollars for charity. They have created a unique community of young Jewish professionals who are looking to have a good time meeting new people while also giving back to their community.

But first, before we became Just Cause Events, it all started with a boat....a good friend said innocently one day "Wouldn't it be fun to have a party on a boat with all our friends? How cool would that be?" The gears started turning from there and with the help of a friend connecting us to the boat we needed, we reached out to a charity that we cared about, and the creating all social media promotions from the ground up and ended up selling out at 125 tickets for what would be Just Cause Events' first ever event.

Summer 2019 was our Cruise for a Cause event - where we took a boat tour in the hudson river to support the "Lone Soldier Center in Memory of Michael Levin", we curated a fantastic event and handled all promotion and logistics for the event as volunteer event planners. 125 Jewish young professionals enjoyed food and drinks on the Lucille as we saw views of the Statue of Liberty.

The support after Cruise for a Cause was overwhelming - and we knew that we had a niche market for events on our hands. This event accomplished several things all in one night. Coming to our event automatically included participants in a greater cause of giving back to the Lone Soldier Center, and it created a community of professionals who want to be purposeful while also having a unique experience.
We knew that there was more that we could bring to this audience, and we officially launched Just Cause Events to keep bringing more unique experiences to this community, and to keep supporting meaningful Jewish causes.

With the launch of Just Causes' new logo and branding came our next event. Same premise, with a different execution - this time we created a Kosher bar night/experience at Hidden Lane NYC, in support of Refuat HaNefesh. This nonprofit's mission is: to create a Jewish community that is more aware, respectful, & empathetic to people living with mental illness. We heard a presentation from Lauren Mazal Behar, a representative from Refuat Hanefesh who taught participants about the importance of breaking the stigma of mental health. The idea that 150 young professionals came out in support of showing that mental health stigma needs to be "stomped out" was overwhelming. Living Balanced NYC was our corporate sponsor for the evening, and provided raffle prizes and good bags for all of our event participants.
